    Position Responsibilities:

    • Manage, motivate, mentor, and develop a team of industrial/commercial Carpenters
    • Identification of continuous improvement initiatives to maximize team performance
    • Develop, monitor, and relay routine department performance indicators to the management team
    • Schedule staff in accordance with skill-set and availability
    • Forecast goals and objectives with tracking metrics
    • Conduct individual reviews with personnel to evaluate performance and set goals
    • Communicate and coordinate with sales, project management, purchasing, and other internal departments
    • Manage and forecast department staffing needs
    • Coordinate with the internal hiring team to interview, assess, and hire talented new employees
    • Maintain high level of safety awareness and adhere to all company safety rules and guidelines

    Position Requirements:

    • Minimum 5 years of demonstrated leadership experience in the industrial/commercial construction management industry
    • Experience effectively managing a team of 15 or more Carpenters
    • Team orientated approach to managing and engaging staff 
    • Prior experience evaluating employee performance and making appropriate department personnel decisions based on employee performance and upcoming workload
    • Proven ability to work in conjunction with multiple trade personnel
    • Ability to effectively communicate the scope of work to personnel
    • Adhere to all industry safety policies, standards, and guidelines
    • Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and Project Software and Microsoft Project required
    • AutoCAD experience is a plus
