Responsibilities:

 

  • Lead and manage self-performed industrial construction, industrial service, and industrial general contracting projects
  • Understand and relay customer's expectations for the scope of work, safety, timing, and quality to Estimators, Department Managers, Safety Representatives, and other internal groups
  • Develop, define, and monitor project schedules, milestones, budgets, and analytics
  • Review submitted job tickets from Department Managers and Estimators to verify accuracy of time, materials, quality of workmanship, and productivity of field crews
  • Maintain a high level of safety awareness and confirm that field crews adhere to regulatory safety rules and guidelines
  • Serve as the customer’s primary point of contact throughout the entire project lifecycle
  • Develop and grow strong working relationships with the assigned customer base
  • Ensure that all internal crews and sub-contracted crews are scheduled and on-time
  • Schedule site visits with Account Managers, Estimators, and/or Department Managers during the quoting process as needed
  • Organize and conduct on-site line-ups, kick-off meetings, and ad-hoc meetings
  • Participate in and contribute to quoting reviews with the Sales Department
  • Respond to after-hours emergency calls and contact the appropriate department to schedule and dispatch crews
  • Communicate leads, potential change orders, and potential time and material opportunities to the Account Manager
  • Provide technical support to customers, Department Managers, Estimators, and Foremen if suitable
  • Continually update project progress in the company software system
  • Request, review, analyze, qualify, and select subcontractor quotes
  • Complete and submit building permits as needed

Requirements:

 

  • 5 or more years of industrial and/or commercial contracting project management experience
  • Experience managing a variety of trade disciplines including but not limited to: electrical, pipefitting, rigging, foundations, structural steel, machine repair, HVAC, carpentry, and controls
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management preferred but not required
  • Able to conceptualize multi-trade projects with or without engineered prints, schematics, and drawings
  • Proven experience managing multiple construction projects simultaneously
  • Proficient with MS Office
  • Possess exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to travel occasionally and work on-call
